I saw that my iPhone landed on a plane in Alaska this evening. I checked a few flights, and I found a cheap same-day roundtrip flight to Alaska tomorrow...so I'm thinking I might try to go up there and see if I can convince someone at the FedEx hub to let me pick up my package early. If not, I can still make it back home tomorrow night before it gets too late.

Obviously I'll need to bring my tracking number, my ID and a winter coat. But other than that, I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the plane ticket.

Anyone else planning on flyin up there tomorrow?

Are you serious right now?

A: You can't be serious, can you?
B: They will not release the phone to you until a delivery attempt has been made
C: It won't be there by the time you get there

This post isn't actually real. Surely, it can't be. People aren't that crazy, are they?

In case you were serious, it's a horrible idea. There's no way they would give it to you.

Yeah, me too! Let's meet up and share a rental sled.

I don't care if this is a troll. This is probably the most awesome thread this week. :D

If you're serious and you do it, you will be a forum hero.

all the haters can let the door hit them on the way out. any real apple fan will understand my passion to get this device ASAP.

Pretty funny. But yeah if you tried that you'd find that by Alaska HUB they mean Airport. Good luck trying to get you phone from a bulk shipment at the airport. LOL

You don't really need a winter coat yet, it's not that cold in Anchorage in October. Plus you won't be there long.

Anyway why not just go hang out in a bar in Cupertino and see if you get lucky.

Where are you located? Maybe while you're there, you can pick mine up too and then I can come get it from you...

your iPhone 4s is in a large 50 foot cargo trailer. its a very tiny box. the trailer will most likely be hooked up to a big rig to finish it travels to your local sorting facility . if you show up to a hub.
1. you won't be allowed past the front door
2. nobody is going to go through the entire truck to find a small box.
