I was just browsing ebay and one of the recommended items for me was a glass screen protector for the iPhone 5 selling for $13.75 with free shipping.

I have the Bodyguardz Pure so I get lifetime 12$ replacements, but I was thinking of getting one of these for my mom. Right now she has a plastic one that makes her screen feel like an orange peel. I got my dad a Pure for Fathers day and I think my mom was a bit jealous but she isn't rough enough with her phone to feel that it justifies a $40 screen protector.

Ebay doesn't have "reviews" like Amazon, so I wondered if anyone here had tried it. This is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Qualit...l_Phone_Screen_Protectors&hash=item2ec7da3a4b

It's funny, all these ebay sellers seems to share product images... I tried this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/200926401406

It was okay. It was much thinner than the old Spigen Glas.tr I had. It did not, however, appear to have an oleophobic coating (immediately left so many fingerprints) and just felt like a normal plastic screen protector rather than a glass one. It also appears to have rounded edges, but the product I received in the mail did not.

Overall, it was all right, probably well worth the $10 since these are easier to apply than normal plastic screen protectors and more durable.

You hit the nail on the head with the $12 replacements. IF you spend the $ up front then you can replace it on the cheap in the future. I guess it's worth getting one simply to see if it's any good. BUT always remember you can fall back on the Pure if needed. I have the pure also but am tempted to pick one up just in case. Thanks for the find.
