I've found basically the same product on Amazon for £2 cheaper:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Galopar-Cha...rging-Silver/dp/B016LT5IGE/ref=cm_rdp_product

I really want to get it but I'm confused by the product description. It says:

  • Support device: 2015 New Macbook, charge Macbook directly through 14.5V/1.5A output while the maximum output power is 7W

If limited to 7W charging, I imagine it would be really slow to charge. But shouldn't it be 14.5V multiplied by 1.5A = 21.75W? In which case I think it wouldn't be too much slower than the charger directly? I'm sure someone here has probably bought the product so please could they comment?

Just off your description, I would say that the hub is only negotiating charging on the 5V bus, hence the low power rating. Seems very few are having real success barring Apple`s own at dealing with the full scope of USB C`s power ratings
