Anyone ever try the speck candyshell + faceplate on your phone?

Just wondering if the faceplate screen protector takes away any clarity from the screen. I absolutely hate screen protectors that take away the clarity of your screen. For example, the built in screen protector on the otterbox dims your screen down a little. Is this the same for the speck candyshell + faceplate?
