Just curious to know if this is possible - as a first-gen owner I have to upgrade through O2, but if I have any problems with the unit I feel I would probably get better service from Apple than O2. Didn't know if they would exchange it at the Apple Store though, or if I'd be forced to go back to O2. Anyone got any experience of this?

You can go to Apple regardless of who you bought it off.

Cheers. That's particularly convenient for you given the Liverpool store opens this weekend!

So does that mean that (in theory) you could go buy a black iPhone from o2 and if you wanted a white one later on instead.... exchanging it? :D
