I cancelled my iPhone 13PM order after seeing some videos online (not sure I like the shade of blue). I have a midnight green 11PM, and I am thinking of going back to the configuration I has for years (light colored iPhone, brown or navy leather case). The question is should I go for a gold 13PM or do something a starlight 13. My girlfriend has an 11 and I’ve always liked the size of that phone. In terms of usage, the one thing I would miss from a pro phone is the telephoto lenses, and I probably use that a few times a year. Anyone else go from say a 11PM or an XS Max to a 12 and regret it? I am pretty close to preordering then starlight 13…

Doing the exact same thing! Tired of big phones I can’t hold with one hand. Mine isn’t shipping till late October early November though. For some reason TMobile 512gb minis or horribly back ordered.

Going from 12PM to 13P this time around. Will probably never go with an aluminum phone for the same reasons why I get the SS apple watch over aluminum.

12 Pro max to a 13 Pro. I would've just went with the 13 but 13 lacks 120hz display....

Not exactly what the OP is asking, but last year I went from an 11 Pro to the 12. I don't use my camera a ton due to me having an APS-C and FF cameras, but I didn't miss the telephoto lens on 11 Pro at all.

Telephoto on the 11 pro isn’t impressive to me at all. Pixelated garbage if you ask me. I’m use the standard and wide angle almost exclusively, hence I’m not really missing out on going to a 13 mini.

I think he was asking going from a regular model from a pro model. On another note, I also get the SS Apple watch for scratch resistance, but on a phone SS is too heavy. 7000 series is a more premium metal FYI. Strong and light, SS is stronger but much heavier. SS is cheap compared to 7000 series aluminum. You are actually down grading for the phones.

Thanks for calling my upcoming iPhone 13 pro max telephoto lens garbage. I would insult your iPhone 13 mini but I’m going to take a nap right now

Pretty sure he was referring to pro —> non pro.
SS is definitely heavier but it’s nice to feel some heft to my phone. The amount of abuse my phone goes through caseless, an aluminum phone honestly wouldn’t survive and would probably be covered in dents right now. My friend got the mini when it came out. One drop and it was dented and had silver aluminum visible.
Was definitely happy when they introduced the SS sides for the iPhone X, never going back.

I stated on my 11 pro. Not your 13. I’d have no idea what a 13’s telephoto would be like. I still stand by that I won’t miss a telephoto lens.

Sorry to hurt your fee fees.

Currently using iPhone 12 Pro and have an iPhone 13 Mini on the way. Looking forward to one-handed use when I’m on the go with a bag or two slung around me.
