Okay, so here's my setup. I've got a DNS proxy running on my MBP that uses 8.8.8.8 as its DNS server. The Parallels install normally works with it, but not always. Sometimes, as is happening now, it reads some entries from my /etc/hosts file on my Mac, and others it ignores. So for instance www.aol.com goes to the right place (127.0.0.1), but my entries for my client's servers are not working, it claims it just can't find the domain.

I've actually tried modifying the /etc/hosts file, and sure enough, the Windows DNS picks up changes to other servers, but not my client's internal server names.

Sometimes I have to switch between Shared and Bridged networks to get it to work, but I've been working like this for months now and today it's all crapping out on me.

Any ideas? I've tried everything on the Windows DNS side. In fact, I'm taking a shower I've seen it so much.
