Down south
I got in a stand, and I don’t really like it. I was wondering if anyone had used an actual laptop stand for their iPP with the MK attached, and, if so, how that worked? I don’t know if the MK is stable enough for that, or if it’s practical trying to type on the keyboard with it up in the air (I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be for long periods).

I have GOT to get my iPP up though - my neck has been bothering me something fierce, and I really think a lot of it is from how much I’ve been looking down at this iPP lately. I need a solution for sure.

I don’t have your setup but from experience most laptop stands are meant to be used together with external mice and keyboards rather than the built-in keyboard.

Sure that partially defeats the MK but it’s your health and comfort first.

I bought two of these for family for their laptops for X-Mas. I do own an IPP 12.9". I'll give it a try once they open the gifts. Potentially, this low slung stand might meet your needs.

For ergonomics, I'd say don't use a laptop stand. You may trade more comfortable neck for shoulder/wrist pain if you keep up using the Magic Keyboard on the laptop stand.
Probably look to external keyboard and a proper mouse/trackball/trackpad.

To be honest, the height of the 11" Pro in the Magic Keyboard was too low for me for long use (especially compared to when using my stand). This was one big factor for me to return it.

Today for the first time in a few weeks, I said forget it to using my 11" Pro as work device (at least during the day) and use my 15.6" laptop on stand with external mouse and keyboard. Forgot how much more comfortable it is when working.

I feel like the pro would be similar if elevated and using a Bluetooth keyboard. I just can’t find a stand I really like. They’re either too flimsy, or too bulky.

My setup for what it's worth. It's much higher than using Magic Keyboard..so much more comfy in that sense. But the top of my iPad goes almost to my chin (I'm about 5' 7") while sitting at my dining table. (Please excuse the mess.. 😅 ))

I do have a laptop that when its on a stand, the top of the screen is at eye level.

Good luck with your search!

I use my Rain mStand sometimes for my 12.9 + MK.

That is nice looking! The thing about it is, when the MK is attached, I can’t really use a different keyboard, so I figured I either needed one I could actually still use the MK with, OR one with a BT keyboard.

I wound up ordering an Omoton brand one from Amazon. I’m hoping it’ll get my iPad close to eye level, but if not, I may just get my husband to make a little box/shelf to sit the stand on at my desk to make it the level I want. I ordered the keyboard and mouse that match. I’ve actually bought one of the keyboards for the grandkids I believe, and thought it worked fine. We shall see.

I figure if I don’t like the setup, I’ll just return it. I’ve made my fair share of returns this year. Using all these devices more than usual makes you realize things about your setup. ;-p
