I'm trying to make a DVD from a camera-shot movie (actually a recording of a play a family member was in). I imported the camera footage into iMovie and did some editing, then tried to burn the DVD using iDVD. I got an error message saying the file was too long for the application. The movie is 1:47. So I thought I'd try a 3rd party app. I downloaded Express Burn & it processes the movie into what looks like the appropriate video format. My computer reads the disc fine, but my TV DVD player will not read it. There is no error message or anything. It just says Loading.... and then goes blank. When I push Play the screen says Play and then immediately goes to Stop. Does anyone know anything about this? (I've tried using DVD-R and DVD+RW disks. The manual says my player can play both.) I'm interested in why iDVD won't handle the file to begin with. What's the max duration it can process? And what's up with the final disk? Or possibly, does anyone have a suggestion for a better solution -- a different app (but preferably a free one to start with) maybe? I'm so confused.....
