I'm thinking about buying one of these drives as it's very impressive in overall read/write speed and I know $499 is expensive but it has dropped from $700.

Also 80gb would be plenty for me.

I've got one in my Unibody and I'm pretty happy with it. So far I haven't run out of diskspace but I'm less portable than most people.

Search for a thread in here where a guy tested this, as well as the 32GB E, against several other SSDs in his MBP. Many neato graphs and stuff.

I've been reading about people not able to install windows via bootcamp with the x25-M.. has this issue been solved?

It probably wouldnt be a huge deal as I probably wont install windows if I do buy the intel ssd but just curious.

Well I haven't found a use for native bootcamp yet so I've not bothered. I'm not sure but is it possible that those complaints apply to other SSD drives and no the intel one? Got any references to previous posts about this issue?

There are a couple of threads

and here http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1792995

I really want the x25-M as it has the best performance but I do kind of want to install windows to have a couple of games installed under windows..
