I've followed the instructions and added and deleted the VPN to my network settings about 20 times, but when I try to connect I keep getting an error that the PPTP-VPN host is not responding. I can log into the website, so I know my username and password are good.

Anyone got it working?

I think it's a problem with itshidden....but there's no way to contact them to verify (that I can find - unless you have a paid account). I tried out another free trial service over the weekend as a test and my Mac connected with no issue - same exact setup as itshidden except for the server name in the network preference.

With a VPN you are literally routing all your traffic through their servers. So things such as firesheep can be used by them - and a lot more.

If you have a need for VPN - I suggest just paying for it, there are cheap services out there. I personally use OverPlay - fantastic for getting around region specific media content (BBC iPlayer)
