I'm looking to buy an external hard disk forn my 15" Powerbook (1.25ghz), to be used for backing up, photo and movies but most importantly audio with Cubase.

I've seen a lot of support for Lacie D2 and big disk extreme but havve just noticed this Miglia DualDisk 500gb drive on the UK Apple site - 16mb cache, FW800, really small... Has anyone got any experience of this drive

Appreciate any information (also curious to know the difference between the d2 and big disks)

Thanks

Zim

320gb

yeah,,

saw the same went to my apple store today on regents street and they dont have them in store.

so i ordered from www.miglia.com 320gb delivering tomorrow i think. (£245)

i understand it has the fastest transfer rates of any external hard disk drive better than lacie or maxtor or others. only thing is it as only firewire 800 port. due to dual disk writing technology (oxford chipset). will post again when i recieve it through UPS this morning, using it as a backup for my powerbook,17'
