I've been interested in trying this out. The way they describe the app is somewhat confusing. I just want to clarify from users how it actually works.
The way they describe it is that calls to my burner number will show up as Burner on my caller ID. Outgoing calls will show my Burner number in the recipients Caller ID. Does this mean calls and texts get routed through their system when I use my built in message and phone app?
I'm looking for it to be a self contained app. Any texts or calls to and from the Burner number app must be done through the Burner app. Not routing anything to or from my regular phone and message apps. Nor tied in any way to my real phone number or service.
I'm just looking to sell some of my old junk on Craigslist. I don't want to publish my real number. So, that I get added to the lists of every telemarketer and spammer for years. I also don't want every call I make from my phone to show the burner number. Just anything to or from the Burner App.
I'm open to other suggestions for apps which do this and support both SMS and calling. Preferably one which works on iOS and Android. I'm fine with ones which charge a small monthly fee.
