I'll be visiting Los Angeles next week and currently have Navigon on my iPhone. It's always been a hot or miss thing with its live traffic feature, so I'm wondering if I should use this opportunity to give TomTom's live traffic features a try. Has anyone ever had a chance to use both apps and compare their effectiveness wile navigating the crazy traffic in LA? Would love to know. :D

I used Navigon in Seattle with live traffic. It would show traffic, but always said no alternate route.

I've noticed that too for New York, something about the way it calculates time to a destination that always makes it say this. Although when it did offer alternative routes it would wind up being a wild ride halfway around the world.
