I used to own a 12 Max but recently went to a 13 Mini and bought an iPad Mini 6 to fill the screen void. My intent was to use the 13 Mini as the real world device as a I valued portability and use the iPad Mini 6 around the house to fill the void between my 13 Mini and IPP 12.9". Sadly the Mini 6 is underwhelming so I'm still looking to fill that screen gap and thought maybe a 13 Pro Max would be good to use around the house. Heck, I could even swap my SIM out from my 13 Mini into the Max if I knew I was going on a trip and wanted a great camera.

Anyone have experience with this? I know the Max screen real estate isn't the same as the Mini 6 but I'm okay with that. Thoughts?

Do you shoot a lot of portraits or photos require zooms? Even so, getting a Max just for the camera capability occasionally is a bit over kill IMO.

I had been a pro user, iPhone 11 Pro 12 Pro, but with 13 I had "downgraded" to a mini, reason being, I have a digital camera with me all the time, on a trip, I have a Sony A7III, for streets, I have a Fuji X100F. I found for bokeh iPhone still can't beat a wide lens on a full frame mirrorless. Dolby Vision video on the 13 is impressive, though, it has some artificial look to the video and A7III's HLG still beats the iPhone IMO.

So for the price of 13 pro max, I think you can pick up a decide portable large censored camera, e.g. Fuji X100V (APSc) or Sony RX100-IXIVIVIX (don't know which series it's at now) - 1 inch sensor, would that be an option?

Plus, there is another toy to play with too;)

Edit: I also have an IPP 12.9, and I can't see what I would need a iPad mini for.
