I've got to advise some people in our organisation on how suitable Acrobat Standard (not Elements or Pro) would be for their (mainly) MS Office uses and editing documents.

I've had a look at the product comparison chart on Adobe's site but it's a little short on specifics and they don't offer a trial of it either. Personally, I've never used it being an Acrobat Pro user myself.

So, my first question is: Is editing text made possible? Are the usual Adobe font restrictions in place where you can't edit unless you have the font locally installed?

Thanks in advance for any advice...
