Here's what I want...

A permanent, frequently backed up collection of all my photos, in their original resolution, easily shared, and viewable as a slide show on a TV both now and in the future.

Here's what I'm thinking...

transfer all my photos (6,000+) from my PC to my 64GB iphone 5. I can view them on my phone or share them with a group via apple TV. The cloud keeps them permanently backed up. I now use my iphone as my main camera, so all future pictures will be on the phone without having to transfer.

here's the problems...

1. Getting them transferred from my PC to the iphone in their original resolution is kind of a pain. Any suggestions?
2. restoring from icloud takes FOREVER when you have a lot of photos. I'm talking DAYS.
3. really ties me down to the iphone now and in the future.

Anybody doing this? Any thoughts or suggestions?

You'll also have to pay for a larger iCloud service. I'd just recommend Dropbox 100gb plan. Drop box also automatically backs up your photos. Plus no horrendous iCloud restore times. AND it doesn't take up space on your phone except the new pictures you take with it!
