Anyone Using an LG 49" Curved Monitor?

I'm thinking of moving from my 2014 5K 27" iMac and TBD to using my 2016 15" MBP with the 2.9GHz i7 to power this curved display.

The monitor looks great and reviews are generally good, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has pulled the trigger and can provide a real-world review of a similar setup.

I take it you're not particularly enamoured with Retina in macOS because the plan involves going back to traditional pixel density?

I can take 5K or leave it; I want to get down to one machine and I need the dual-display real estate.
