Hi there,

Subject title says it all - anyone using bitvice on a macpro?

I'm trying to find out what some of the speed results might be for a 1.5 hour mpeg2 encode.

any thoughts?

if not, does anyone use a software encoder other than compressor* on a macpro with fast results (ie. maybe a 3:1 encode time or less)?

* <violently shudders when he thinks of the poor quality compared to bitvice>
Cheers,

Um, I don't think Bitvice is a universal binary yet. That would mean most likely, that no one is using it right now on a Mac Pro.

you are right, but apparently, it runs fine under rosetta so some folks were using it. oddly enough, i posted a similar message on innobits forum and no one has answered. i also checked the apple DVD SP discussion board and there doesn't seem to be many chats on BV there either.

i wonder if it's a dead product???

Cheers,
