I'm looking at buying a M2 Mini strictly as a secondary computer to compliment my existing Dell workstation in my art studio.
I work mainly with found media and have been slowly taking on more and more analog -> digital conversion projects from clients.
My analog capture setup only at 1080p which is more than good enough. The editing process itself is rather light too, maybe a few cuts and trims here and there but that's it. Where it becomes more demanding is the BIG hours long de-interlace, slight zooming to match the borders, color shift, etc.
My main screen is a 4k monitor and I use a way older sub-HD veritcal screen for social stuff while working away.
My question is, will 16GB or 24GB be better? I'm fine with 256GB as everything will be stored externally anyways (layover from my old 2018 Mini) and my budget is only $1k which is what the M2 24GB/256 is.
The only reason I'd go for 16GB is to spend that $200 towards more external storage.
Thanks!
