I currently have an Apple Studio Display and I'd like to get just a little more screen space, but the issues that I'm hearing about the 3rd party 6K displays are making me consider other options.

One of the things I'm considering is getting dual 13" iPad Airs just to use as Continuity displays. Has anyone here tried this with multiple iPads before? I'm curious how you find it.

I'm also hoping that the ease of moving iPads as displays might allow me to make better use of side displays. I've tried multiple display setups before and I've given up each time because I could never get used to them. I just always end up tuning out the extra screens and doing everything on one screen 90% of the time.

Are you talking about Sidecar? I used an iPad for Sidecar with my MacBook a while back but it wasn't a reliable solution. It would sometimes just disconnect for no reason, even when connected via USB. For example, I actually tried to do a Zoom presentation with dual screens, with one of them being Sidecar. It was even more unstable. Doing such a presentation with true dual screens worked fine.

Anyhow, this is why I got the 6K monitor for my Mac mini. I don't like using multiple screens, and I found 27" too small.
