I just received an inexpensive case for my 16in Macbook Pro M1 Pro. It came with a KB cover and screen protector.

I always use screen protector on my iPhone but never on my Macbook. Anyone use one? any cons?

what about KB cover? I am worried closing the MacBook pro with KB cover an no screen protector will lead to issues..ie pressure marks overtime on the screen.

My 15in Macbook Pro was a 2013 refurb and noticed there was slight mark on the screen where the keys seem to rub. It took awhile to notice it and never used my AppleCare + and found out to late about the coating issues were still covered for extra period of time.

TIA

I just pulled the trigger on a screen protector for my 14" max after reading all the warnings of not doing so because it can potentially remove the antiglare stuff etc. and while it does lower? the screen resolution, (doesn't look as crisp and ahhh wooo factor of the bare display) I just can't stand the glare (anti glare eh?), finger prints, and just dust that it accumulates over time. Additionally, I travel a lot and would hate to have any dust/dirt/sand accidentally get stuck between screen/keyboard and then start to get scratched as I'm transporting. Lastly, I had a screen protector on my last laptop (non mac) and dropped and cracked the screen within a year and it's single handedly the reason why that laptop was still able to last an additional 4 years

Interesting about a screen protector affect anti glare coating.
Hmmm. Wonder if AppleCare plus would cover that as accidental damage
