Carrier Anyone using the AT&T $800 offer gotten their activation fee waived?

Hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone who is taking advantage of the AT&T $800 trade in offer, has managed to get their $30 upgrade fee waived?

I know that some previous posters had noticed wording in the deal about it and were hesitant to try to get it waived, but if others are being successful in their attempts, I want to save some $$!

I will try for sure. Loyalty screwed me big time by offering me the 11 PM at $700 and not telling me about this promo. Local retail could not process my return due to the system being down. Had to mail it back. Once the 12 PM is released and I trade in my 8 Plus I will call Loyalty and tell them to waive this fee for the headache they put me through.
