Earth (for now)
I have an old Apple 30” Cinema HD Display that I’m currently using with a cheese grater Mac Pro. I was thinking of replacing that with a Mac mini M1. Using a USB-C to mini-DisplayPort dongle, along with the Apple mini-DisplayPort to dual-DVI adapter, the monitor works fine with my 2017 12” Core m3 MacBook, but the single USB-C port of the MacBook complicates things.

Can anyone confirm this setup works with any of the M1 Macs?

Yes, the best way is to get an OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock with mini display port. Once hooked up option click the resolution to get 2560 x 1600 and it works perfect. The key is to the power needed so if you use a combination of adapters they need to be powered. Apple forum has some info on it. I have two 30" Apple Cinema Displays hooked up to my 2013 MacPro, want to switch over both to my MacBook Pro M1.

Well I have a ACD 30" and it will ONLY work with Big Sur 11.1 using 2560x1600. Updated to 11.2 and screen went black after 5 seconds. 11.2.1 or 11.3 beta did not fix the problem. Reverted back to 11.1 and all is fine...any explanation for this!?

This is disappointing. :( What adapter(s) are you using?

Have you tried doing this yet?
