Screen Shot 2021-09-15 at 12.24.25 PM.png this one but it will not allow me to make it fit the screen. It's called App for Gmail Pro.The icon is on the screen between chrome and safari.

The icon that you indicate may be for the app, but you don't have THAT app open (no indicator on the dock, just the icon. The app that is open is the one called"Mail for Gmail" and is the red envelope icon. THAT appears to be stuck in mobile view, for some reason.
What happens when you DO open that G app, that one in between Safari and Chrome?

That is as big as the App gets.

So, what you are saying is that you click on the red G icon, but the OTHER app, Mail for Gmail opens, and the red G app goes away (watch for the "active app indicator" dot to appear (below that icon), then disappear.)

Seems like it should be a setting in the app, to change the display from mobile to desktop configuration.

hmmm... You are set for "Basic HTML" view. What happens if you click on Gmail view - Standard (near the bottom of that page)?

This is what i see. I think this App is supported by them.

And, that confuses me...
So, you clicked on Standard view, and the window moved to Chrome web browser?
All are Google, but what value is the Mail for GMail app, if you are simply using Chrome?

I did see a couple of different posts when I was searching around for this, that the Mail for GMail app started acting up a few days ago for others, as well. Maybe you just need to be patient - might fix itself in the next few days.
Maybe just business as usual for Google...
