I'll be re-learning my programming skills this Fall/Winter so I can write iOS apps. I'll use a mac mini as the development system - but would like the freedom to work anywhere I choose in the house. Has anyone remoted the X-Code environment ? I really can't see why it shouldn't work - but thought I would check. The new versions of OSX have a built in viewer compatible to VNC.

Would be great to use my Dell laptop to remote into the mini.

I find it hard to program effectively this way. The UI is just not responsive, at least enough-so for me, for me to get anything done. It might be OK since you are on the same network, but I would still find it rough not to have the expansive desktop space of my iMac versus my Macbook.
