Before I spend too much time typing anything up with actual specs, I thought I'd see if there was any interest in a Mac Plus with external SCSI HD (40MB IIRC), keyboard(s), mouse(s), etc. I bought all this stuff when I was planning to have a "computer museum" in my house (along with a lot of C64 stuff!) but that day never happened and I just don't have the space. Thus, I'd prefer to sell the stuff (which I paid decent cash for) to someone who will actually appreciate it vs. giving it to Goodwill for the tax write-off.

If this sounds interesting to you, let me know and I can dig-up some more details. Hopefully, everything is working still as it's just been siting on my floor for about 3 years here in the computer room, but I'd fire it up if anyone is seriously interested. I think I have some RAM sitting around to max it out also. I wouldn't want much cash for the set-up (plus shipping) -- maybe just $40 or so + shipping, but even that's negotiable to see it go to a good home instead of the Goodwill computer wasteland.

eBay it. Very few people here would be willing to pay $40 for one. I have a collection of 30 old Macs, including a Plus. I'd love to have another one (mine isn't in the greatest condition,) and if it has an Apple branded hard drive, I'd offer $20 plus shipping. But you'll probably have better luck selling it as a 'collectible, antique Mac Plus!' on eBay. (Make sure to mention the signatures on the inside, if it has them. About half do, so it doesn't really add anything, but it would increase the final price on eBay. Also, lots of well-lit, well-staged pictures, and a long description.)

Well, $40 was just a guess to recoup some of the cash I spent to buy/ship the stuff. I guess that if I don't get anyone to take advantage of the "OBO" in the next couple days, it's off to Goodwill (and likely the dump since they won't know what to do with it).

I'd love to make an Aquarium out of my Plus, but it still works perfectly, and I'd have to ruin a perfectly good old Mac.

I am definetly interested. It doesn't matter if it works or not. Is it still available?
