I'm downloading the SDK now so that I can try it out myself. It's one thing to hear about it and another to try it yourself. I wonder whether the Music app is usable yet...
On a CD/record/tape, you can have one song flow into another (e.g. a live concert). On Android, it inserts a pause or "gap" between the songs. This was reported as a bug over two years ago (http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3461) and still has not been fixed.
The problem is in the underlying media framework so all apps that use that framework have the same issue. PowerAmp is the only app I'm aware of that works correctly (it has its own codecs) but I don't like the UI and have had some other problems with it.
I doubt I will be getting this ported to my phone. (Should have gotten a Galaxy S.)
Interesting but I want to see how it turns out on a tablet. Amazon's Fire is cheap but the lock in and hardware are somewhat discouraging for me. Evolution carries on for Android, I just want to see the hardware too.
