I’m seriously thinking in sell my 11 pro Max and get regular 12 (no pro). I like more the matte aluminum edges of the 12 than the glossy cheap looking stainless steel of the pro.

Anyone have done this an can share the experience?

Will I miss anything from the 11 pro Max?

I did that yesterday but with the plan to sell this 12 and get the 12 Pro Max when it is available. I do like some things about the 12 but I’m still used to the biggest screen and best camera. For now I have been using the 12 case-less but I have a case being delivered today. Once I have a case I can more accurately compare the size and feel between the two.

Yes!! I have went from green 11 pro max to 12 (blue) mainly for financial reasons.
I’m starting to think an 11 regular would have been just as good, but at the same time, I won’t be buying a new iPhone for a few years now, I was a yearly upgrader! I love the 12 size, shape, everything.

I don’t actually think you’ll miss nothing apart from the big screen if that’s for you...

actually only thing I miss is the Matt back! But that’s it 😂

One of the things that make me consider this, is the size of my 11 pro max, it’s too big for me. 6,1 inches would be perfect for me. I’m concerned in terms of screen quality (not sure if the brightness will be enough).

I'm in a similar situation... I've owned the 11 Pro Max Midnight Green since release day and I never really liked the huge screen, but I tolerated it because of the insane battery life (normally end the day with 20-30% left, heavy user).

That said, I think it's time to get rid of the big screen and I'm close to filling up the 64GB capacity.

Before the new phones were announced I thought I was just going to get the 12 Pro and that will be that, but since it got bigger (compared to the 11 Pro) I am not so sure. I know it's a minor difference, but still...

So now I'm thinking about getting the 12 Mini, but my concern is battery life as it only has a 2200-ish mAh cell. There's no way that can last me an entire day, the 11 Pro Max has definitely spoiled me with it's battery endurance and now I have no idea what to do.

I could probably get an 11 Pro 256gb or even 512gb for the same money as the Mini when it comes out and the 11 Pro will probably have the better battery life between the two.

Decisions, decisions....

From a use case point of view, it’s way more manageable. I remember when I first played with the XR, I wished I could get a Pro iPhone at that size. I’ve been using the Max versions for two years now and the big screen is great if you can commit to using two hands. The downsides are it feels like a brick in any pocket, especially if you add a case. It’s nearly impossible to use one handed without doing hand-gymnastics. It’s more prone to be dropped due to aforementioned reasons. The 6.1” is the sweet spot. It does not feel too small, also isn’t unwieldy. I have a 12.9 iPad Pro if I want to be immersed. Unless the camera setup on the Max turns out to be substantially better than the 6.1 Pro, I’ll be sticking with this size.

Having in mind the ‘perfect 6,1 size’ my question is if the regular iPhone 12 will meet my needs. I’m a regular user, I like photography but not a pro level, I mean, I don’t do many portraits in low light conditions, or other pictures that requires a pro camara. But I wonder if the 635 of the regular i12 vs the 800 of the pro or 4gb vs 6gb will be enough for me.
