Anyone went from a 5 to a 5C - comments pls

Daughter contract is up so I'm after a new contract. She currently has a 5 which we bought off contract and uses that.

Currently I'm paying £15/month, looking at SIM only as we want more data so it's looking at £15/month again.

I'm thinking maybe though that get her a 5C on contract. T-mob via CPW doing £28/month for 250mins, unlimited texts and data. So "extra" £13/month as such. Maybe sell 5 to recoup.

So has anyone went from a 5 to a 5C? I have a 5S, I understand the differences ie not many really.

But appreciate some opinions on people going from a 5 to a 5C. Worth it? Better, worse, same?

I've has both over the course of 6 months and I can tell you that's it's basically the same. The bigger battery is somewhat noticable. The biggest thing is the look and feel of the 5c. That's why I have one right now.
 
I went from a 5 to 5C it was well worth it. Just because of the longer battery life and the design of it. It's a refreshing update I think.
 
Wasn't expecting battery life to be much better thanks.

I went from a 5 to a 5S and can't see any difference in battery life...

The tech in the 5s was just not compelling for me honestly. I saw the white 5c and it immediately took me back to the 3G which I loved. It's more ergonomic and unlike most people, I like the 'dense' feel of the phone. The only "trouble" I've run into is when people see I have a 5c, they immediately default to, "why would you get a 5c? Are you broke or something?" And that's what I'm getting from not-tech-enthusiasts. But I could care less. I love this phone.

Agreed. My only reservation is that 5c is not available with white front face (which would look better in certain color configuration).

I have iPhone 5 and my wife has iPhone 5s and I personally prefer the weight and feel of the 5c. Of course, I would like Touch ID and improved camera of the 5s as well.

I say get your daughter a 5c. The 5c has color which adds personality/uniqueness to the phone. She would enjoy it as long as she gets to pick out the color. The colorful Apple cases adds additional flair as well.

5C is a plastic 5. Save the money and get the nicer 5.

and what's the point picking out a color phone and then suggest slapping a case on it.

Have you seen a picture of the iPhone 5c case on an iPhone 5c? They are designed specifically to allow you to see the color of the phone, allowing for interesting color combinations with the 5c and the 5c case.

because the Apple Color cases compliment it. They have holes so the phone colors show through and you have the option to mix and match which adds flair. Young women may find that attractive,

lmao, a case defeats the purpose of getting the 5c color of your choice. you two sound like apple fanboi so i am not gona continue arguing.
 
I'm just going to have to say the 5c was the best iPhone I've had— even better than the 5s.

Sorry, even color combinations aside, there are so many more uses to something like a case/bumper than just color that's it's just kind of silly to go down the path of that kind of "argument".
