Some guy at apple said i would have pay the full $600. Here's the text I got from that number, "Due to past due balance, and other reasons, an upgrade is not available. Payment will make full retail pricing available for all handsets except iPhone. After payment, we can offer you an early iPhone upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee at a participating iPhone sales location. Additional discounts for all other handsets may be available on 04/03/2011. Use *PAY to check your balance and pay your bill from your phone."

He was wrong, right? I can get a 16gb for $399, correct?

Payment as in your bill?

According to that text you'll get the early upgrade pricing for the iPhone.

So this applies for everyone? Wow. I have the 3GS and I love my phone but the ability to record 720P HD and edit on iMovie on the iPhone 4 is pretty freaking amazing.

I was told today at the ATT store that if you are not eligible for the best upgrade pricing, you can still get the early upgrade pricing $399/$499 as long as you have had your current iPhone for at least 6 months.

I sure hope this is true. I've had a 3GS since launch and it just says I can get full retail no commitment pricing.

I hope so too. That's what the ATT guy told me. Then he suggested a way to recoup the extra $200 the early upgrade will cost me.......set up Uverse service because as part of the deal, they are giving new customers $200 in cash. He suggested this will reduce the cost of the 16GB phone to $199.

Actually this is a good deal and I'm thinking of this too. I would also save 50 to 60 bucks a month over what I'm paying now. I'm really thinking about that.
