I wanna create a table for some text&pict, and:
(1)
with a inner shadow(1 pix width) in the border(1 pix) of the table, the inner shadow(should be gray if the table border is black) should be on the left and top side, inside the border.

(2)
with a outter shadow(1 pix width) outside the border(1 pix again), but the shadow line(gray again....) should be right and bottom of the table.

i need better or efficient ways of doing this instead of table, thanks everyone!

any help is needed!! thanks again!

What software are you using?
Why do you want to create a drop shadow thats one pixel wide. No one will notice it anyway.

[1]i used to use frontpage under win. now i'm wondering what i should use under mac.
[2]because i don't want to create shadow with images. and if a colour cell is larger, it won't be a "shadow", right?

Why are avoiding images for shadows?

If you use just a dark cell as a shadow, it will not look very good - not as much as a small images would. You can use 3 very small filesized images as your shadows, and it looks quite nice.

If you want, you can even use the exact same images I am using for my site.

Click the link in my sig to see an example of my shadows, and feel free to use them if you'd like.
