anyone who knows javascript want to help make a videogame?

some buddies of mine are looking for someone who can take over for their current scripter who is obnoxiously lazy, any help would be appreciated.
the game is an RPG baised off of final fantasy 6. it uses the sphere engine, which is for PC and Linux(creators say should work in osx with some tweaking)

That actually sounds like fun although I've never seen any of the Final Fantasy games.
