Does anyone know if the LG VX8300(verizon) will sync with OSX. On the iSync 2 support page no LG phones are listed. I am on the brink of getting a new phone and would love to have a phone that would sync up with my calender and contacts mostly I could careless about music. Is the V3m supported by OSX the V3i, V3c, V3x are listed but that is it.

I also am a current Cingular customer so therefore the LG CU500 has come up as the phone I may prefer. Does anyone know how well the LG CU500 plays with OSX(calender-important, address-important, music-not, photos-not)

I am a little hesitant to get a Razr since there seems to be a little dislike by some over it. (The guy in the Verizon store said it was overrated)

If the Razr will sync my calendar and address book than I would consider it. Any thoughts or suggestions on what I should go with? (Its the V3m)

Thanks in advance!

I can get my computer to send vCards via bluetooth. In order to get the other stuff to work you will need a usb cable. The cheapest I found is here: Link

There are links on that page to get software that is free. I like the VX8300 I looked at the Razr and it was crap in my opinion. Looks good, but the buttons were a pain.

BitPIM to the rescue

Using BitPIM i was able to sucessfully import and export my calender and phonebook but its a round about way of doing it on the lG. Razor is isync compatible. BitPIM helps mac and pc sync with the rest of Verizons phone that say you can't sync them. Because verizon is stupid.

That link is dead.. Seems they changed their website. I recently got the same cable you did for VX-8300 and my gf picked up the CU500 straight cable, which works sweet. You dont even need software for media files. It reads as a Mass Storage Device. Pretty sweet.

the VX8300 cable is here: Link
