Hi forum,

I've been getting this problem every week or so, that one of the 4 processor threads gets completely used up by the system, ultimately leading to a crash/reboot. I've finally found a console line that appears right before this happens:

04-04-12 10:34:20,000 kernel: AppleUSBMultitouchDriver::validateChecksum - 512-byte packet checksum is incorrect (expected 0xad2e, checksum bytes were 0xb9ff)

Does anyone know what I can do about this/prevent this?

Thank you!

So.. go to an apple store to get it fixed? or can i do something myself?
Thanks

could you solve the problem?
I have got the same

Oct 23 19:51:05 Cheges-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: AppleUSBMultitouchDriver::validateChecksum - 512-byte packet checksum is incorrect (expected 0x9b66, checksum bytes were 0x0)

No, I haven't done anything since, but after installing mountain Lion, the problem went away for me.
