Anyone with lots of Contact records in 3G iPhone?

Please post the phone's performance. I have about 4,500 contacts on my Treo (mostly business) and wonder if others have any experience with the iPhone at this level. How "snappy" is it to find a contact using the new search feature?

I only have 527... but it is "snappy"... the initial push took 15 or 20 seconds as well.

4500... I have no idea.

All I can say is, if everyone gives Apple a reasonable amount of time to resolve any outstanding issues, there is no way a Treo will out perform an iPhone with 4500 contacts.
