Anyone with MBP 13 mid 2010, please list your DVD drive model

I know that sounds weird but, I recently had my DVD drive replaced at Authorized reseller, even though it wasn't broken. Now the issue I have this new drive is SUPER SLOW. It took me 30 minutes to install iLife 09. Now Im burning DL DVD Im already 45 minutes in and its just over 60%.

Please post info from your system profile, I just want to make sure those ppl didnt put anything else in there.

I just bought my 13" MBP baseline model on the 23rd of August. I have the same exact specs as your drive, and mine seems to run fine. Here are my specs (which are identical to yours).

Thanks, did you ever burn dual layer dvd? How long did it take you? Im still waiting since that post I made earlier on.

I wonder how come marshallbedsaul has different model. May be its 15 or 17 inch model?

It seems we all have different models, 2 main ones.

I dont really like mine it took me 1 h 20 minutes to burn dual layer DVD today. Also it often refuses to burn of cheap dvds.

i had this issue with my late 2008 unibody macbook. with that same pos drive. it also didnt accept disks as quick or smoothly as the mbp's i have now. they have the HL drives
