Anyone who uses their 6 naked and lays the phone on a table flat on its back...has this caused any dents under normal use? It is the ony reason why I use a case. I've always gone naked prior to the 6.

Sapphire is pretty hard

I'm not worried about the lens scratching. I mean the outer ring that is made of aluminum and metal, does it get dented because if you lay the phone down, it will constantly push weight onto one corner of the ring.

Unless you're slamming the phone down on a hard surface, I think you'll be fine. The weight of the phone pushing down on that one spot is far too little to do anything unless you're stacking books on top of your phone. Even then, as I said, you'd probably need to forcefully and intentionally slam the phone down on the surface to damage the ring. At which point, you'd probably bend the phone and break the screen.

Agreed. I don't think you have anything to worry about OP.

So far mine is ok. I dont slam my phone down so I should be ok

So, does most people lay there phone down on the back or the front? I am assuming back to protect the front screen.

Do any of you go to work naked? If not... Then neither should your phone. Just sayin... Always use a case!

its just a device and not a living thing tho. break it? just get a new one.

I heard it does happen, they called it a new "gate" in the news here

Nope, I set mine down with the screen facing up on the 6+. I was concerned at first but after a few times, I'm not so worried now. I do try to set it on something soft. If a magazine or coaster is around, I'll try to set it on that rather than on exposed granite.

I have two scratches and Knicks around the bezel. I never dropped my phone just normal wear and tear but it doesn't bother me because I never look at the back of my phone.

Nothing wrong with my iPhone 6+ and 3 weeks old LG G Pad back camera glass got 3 hairline cracks but I took some pictures it doesn't affect it at all. Strange. :apple:
