I have a home network running from my desktop iMac 5k 27" 2017 (Ventura 13.7.5) to two other computers, MacAir M1 Sequoia 15.1.1 and a Mac Mini 2018 running 15.4.

All was working fine until a couple of days ago, shortly after upgrading the Seq 15.4 in the mini. The M1 macair will no long connect to the network and the Mac Mini will connect, but the search function doesn't work properly.
All of this was working fine without issue until now. I've done a terminal command on the mini to re index spotlight, I updated the OS on the Air to 15.4, I've gone into activity monitor on the mini to turn off spotlight then turn it on. I've re-indexed the files on the parent computer.
I've rebooted both my modem and the units for my mesh network, unplugging and replugging
If I open a finder window on the mini, showing a folder from the parent computer and type in a search term, in the past hits would appear almost instantaneously. Now, it seems to be case sensitive? it may be looking for the first word of a file? (even though under the file menu the choice is "contains"), and if it does find anything it takes minutes, then I give up. It will only pull up one or two files even when I chose a search term that I knew would be in dozens of files.
The finder search function works fine on the satellite computers if I am looking for native files

Would appreciate any input to address or troubleshoot.

Can satellite computers running sequoia work well with a home computer running Ventura.
I did add to the wifi network an old Airport wifi extender to service our NEST doorbell. I will unplug that to see if that makes any difference, though I doubt it.
The only other thing that changed is I installed a new Back Up power supply, but if is not controled by the computer at all.
TIA

No problems here (SMB based, UTP-wired / WiFi).
Sorry.

You could try to reset network settings on the Air.
"How to Reset Network Settings on Mac" https://osxdaily.com/how-reset-network-settings-mac/
Thanks for the tip, but that did not work.
When I finder...go...network I get a window showing the name of my home network. I click on that and another window opens with two menu bar prompts showing: "Connecting" & "Connect as." Waiting does nothing, no connection. If I click on "connect as" Thelogin screen to my netowrk appears with my name and the password for the network. If I click on that, or reenter the password, The word "loading" and a spinning gear appear in the folder window for about 1-2 seconds, then is gone and no connection appears.

Would it be worthwhile to reinstall the OS? can't hurt, right?

Well, can't reinstall successfully. Get nearly to the end, then the machine reboots and I get an error message saying a problem was encountered and the reinstall was ditched. Tried three times. Sent report to Apple.
