anyone with shipping estimates for the 4870?

For those (presumably with early 2008 Mac Pros) that have ordered a 4870 kit from apple, are there shipping/date estimates yet? I know apple store says 5-7 weeks, but I think that after you order they give specific date estimate for shipping. (or am I wrong about that)

ouch, that is really the 5-7 week estimate that I'm seeing. guess i'll should order sooner and then just suffer through the the stock card on the 08 Mac Pro until the 4870 comes.

Better yet, hopefully the PC 4870s will be flashable to Mac ROM by the time the gimped ones from Apple ship.

anyone get good news about their card shipping yet? I'm wondering what it means that imacs with the 4850 are starting to ship now. Seems like their delay was for a similar reason to ours - that there wasn't support for the 4870 in previous generation macs.

my guess is that apple will ship the 4870 when the update 10.5.7 is released first

Ordered mine yesterday and the estimated shipping date is middle of May

I may cancel and flash a Sapphire if the 5.0GTS is figured out.

Aw nuts! Ordered mid March was supposed to ship today, but now it's saying 14.05.2009.
