Hey folks,

I've got two full sleeves and whilst previous-generation Apple Watches have worked, wrist detection would keep locking the watch sporadically.

I was wondering if anyone has picked up the S10 or Ultra 2 and noticed better behaviour with tattooed skin?

Thanks!

I wouldn't expect any real difference, Apple's claiming to use the same third-generation optical heart sensor they introduced with the Series 6. But who knows, maybe they've worked some software magic that'll help you out.

I have the same question. As for the Apple Watch Ultra 2…last years ultra 2 at least…forget about it. Doesn’t work with tattoos

Little bump to this. If anyone has worst tattoos and got the series 10, could you possibly test this for us? Thank you.

Can confirm, no change in behavior on tattooed skin

Confirm, no difference with either watch, 10 or Ultra 2. The black ink blocks the IR sensor used for Wrist Detection.
