I posted at the logitech forums and tried to call them but was on hold for over 45 minutes and unfortunately couldnt sit there any longer and didnt come up with much resolution on their forums as of yet...so I figured alot of you here may have the z5500's and could help with some inquiries.

Ive had my speakers for about a year now, not really even much older.... if I recall correctly.

Recently I've noticed the speakers arent outputting much of the high sound i was used to...sounds kind of weak.

I usually keep it on 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 notches on the control panel and its fairly loud, the loudest I go on it is about 6 notches and then thats still pretty loud.
But playing it on Stereo X2 and PL II Music using optical it just sounds completely weak and not as strong as before.

(No changes in the audio control panel of the OS, since its using Optical/SPDIF, the master volume is all the way, and all the other settings are the way should and have been)

I did the test function with the remote and each speaker levels the same PINK NOISE test, but the subwoofer is barely audible.

Can anyone tell me how loud the sub is to be when doing the Pink Noise Test

The only way i can audibly hear the sub is if i turn the volume up to about 4 or 5 or higher during the pink noise test.

any ideas?

thanks!
