It seriously seems like my 2 year old iPhone 6+ had better battery. I've had this 7+ for about 2 weeks now hoping it would get better with usage but it seems to be bad. I usually did not worry at all when I first got my 6+ and now it seems like I have to carefully watch my usage with the 7+. For example, put it in power saving mode about 30 mins ago and dropped 2% already and I've barely touched it.

Just curious if this is a known issues with some. I have a Verizon 7+ if that makes any difference...

It was great when I first got it but now it's pretty bad on 10.1 - I may need a restore which is annoying

Mine seems fine. Updated to 10.1 no issues. My 6s Plus had well over 400 recharges. My new 7 Plus seems to hold charge longer. Course when I watch several hours of video at bright screen setting, I do need to top it off. No big deal with the iPad power adapter, picks up one percent charge increase per minute below 80%. 15 minutes gets me 15%.

My 7+ has at least as good battery performance as my 6S+ did.

Everyone's performance will vary depending on what you have on your device. Poor reception and apps working in the background can be big battery busters.

I live in a poor reception area for AT&T LTE. Battery performance became phenominal when I turned on WiFi calling.

Have AirPort Extreme router and many times I get connected before the first ring. Sorta freaky. Person on line crystal clear half second after I dial.

Maybe you should start by updating your software, it may actually rectify your battery issue. If not, maybe your usage or settings are the culprit..
I use my phone exactly the same as I did before, settings the same as well but I'll update today and see if that helps.

I have a Verizon 7+. I'm getting around 10-12 hours of moderate usage out of it with at least 45% battery to spare. Pretty much the same as my 6+ with Verizon.

Is that usage or standby (total) time?

Agreed, my 6 Plus had better battery life, especially when brightness turned all the way up on both.

I went from about 7hours of usage of light browsing to 9-10 hours of light gaming/internet/social media after 10.1. The update really helped my iPhone 7.

I could have swore I had better battery when the 6 Plus first came out. Was really hoping the quad core (two lower power cores) would have effected the Iphone like the Apple Watch.

I'll make it until around 2-4 pm before I have to charge again, when starting the day at 7am from 100%.

Please note: I am a heavy user. Using GPS, screen almost always on.

Just wish products were more like the Apple Watch, where I can use it all day no matter how much I use it, and not have to think about charging or remembing to bring a charger every single day.

I'm loving mine.

You are comparing your Apple Watch (which is essentially off 90% of the time) to your iPhone, which you stated is almost always on?

3D gaming will eat your battery up quick for sure -- especially 3.5 hours of it.

Facebook is also notorious for using way more battery than it should, though it shouldn't be as big of a deal as gaming.

Yes? It's wishful thinking to want a device that naturally does this, I know there really isn't a phone that lasts as long but it's desirable

Started the day taking off the charger at 100% 6:10am.

Put on low power mode at 81%.

It's not even noon, I'm at 23%.

Meanwhile my watch is at 73%.

I dream of the day where I can actually use my phone all day

There is something eating your battery. My only guess is that it has something to do with your radio, because that is about the only thing that can chew through a phone battery that quickly.
Is your LTE signal low in your workspace? Is the phone trying to constantly look for a signal? Does your phone feel warm even when you aren't using it?

Additionally, ios 10.2 Beta is out for public consumption. If all else fails, you could try updating to the latest and greatest update. Doubt it would have any effect, but you never know? Maybe some code was added for CDMA radios?

I am running 10.2. Which is better than 10.1 in battery life but still terrible.

I am using GPS while using safari and other apps. Screen is on most the time, connected to my AW and sometimes Bluetooth headset.

I'm in D.C., which doesn't have tall buildings...in a vehicle half the day and roaming around the other half. Signal seems fine.

It doesn't get warm, it has once or twice but not common during my day.
