I got my iPad Friday and let the battery go to about 50 %. Then I plugged it in Saturday morning and went away for the weekend to let it fully charge.

I came back and unplugged it and it said 98%.

Any ideas?

Mine did the same thing. I then took it down to 0 until auto shutdown and fully recharged all night. Now it's perfect. 100% and i feel a slower discharge rate to.

Hard reset, let it drain all the way and then charge. There may be a way to clear certain cache like on a regular Mac but not sure

Calibration of battery
or
The wrong charger
or
The wrong charger cable
or
Just finished a long WiFi iCloud backup which dropped the charge.
or
It's broke

I took mine down to 0 then to 100. I'd suggest letting it charge overnight since it can take a while. I'm not sure how long mine took to charge because I was sleeping. As long as it shows 100 in the morning i am fine.

I charged mine to 100 and letting it drain down to 0 now. Still at 100 currently.
