Ok, so I got the newest Apple TV and a MacBook Pro M1. I am using Music.app to remotely control the Apple TV so I can get dolby and all that jazz, without airplay.

The problem is, Music.app is randomly disconnecting from the Apple TV and I have to restart the app to get it to work again.
I have tried changing the router, reinstalling macOS, reinstalling the Apple TV. Nothing worked.

It's really driving me nuts. :(

Yes, I am on the latest software on both devices. tvOS 16.3 and macOS 13.2

This is what I'm speaking of --

Yea most cheap router will do that, go ethernet connected to minimize that affect!
Sorry, but not relevant. As I have already noted, changed routers. Even pulled in a 2013 Airport extreme to try this and still won't budge. Ethernet doesn't work either, same behaviour.

Got it to crash and logged it through Console.app. Any Mac engineer who knows what's happening here?
