Anything Else I Can Do To Increase Performance?

Hey guys,

I have a Mid 09 17" MBP with the 2.8 Core 2 Duo.

It came with 4 Gigs of ram, I have upgraded it to 8. ( My systems max. ) I got it with a 500Gb 7200 RPM HDD, and just bought a Samsung 830 256GB SDD to upgrade it to.

Is there anything else I can do to boost system performance?

Not much more.. Unless..

I would think that would be about it, MAX means what it means.. Unless you mean something like the 'obvious' disabling/not running extraneous Programs and Apps at any given time, if you are looking for momentary processing power..??

A clean install of OS X may help.

Zero-out the Hard drive / SSD when formatting to truly gain all the benefits or a fresh install.
