Anything I need to do with my 2017 Air before moving data to new M2

Planning on using the Apple method of moving data from old Air to new Air Other than making sure old is current with software and backed up is there anything I need to do to prepare?

Not really, it's a straightforward process. Maybe remove unnecessary files to reduce the time?

Apple has advice here:

Move your content to a new Mac

Check out the section on "Get Ready". Sounds like you already did most of what they recommend.

Well since I'm writing on this forum from my new laptop.. Moving data from old to new turned out easy and great - just followed what the systems told me to do. Had to then logon to some stuff again but that is OK.
