Anything to speed SL up?

Hey, I've not had any problems with SL, found a bug or two here and there,
however it doesn't seem that much faster (that I am aware of), are there any particularly obvious things to remove or change that speed SL up?

I'm on the thing in my sig. OSX 10.6.1.
