Anyway to control audio input using an iMic?

I'm not trying record anything, I just want to listen to my stereo through my computer speakers without having to fake a program such as Amadeus like I'm about to record.

I just want to control volume and such... I'm pretty sure that itunes doesn't have that capability..

LineIn seems to work (found on versiontracker). Just no contol for volume. I guess I'm stuck using the system volume controls.
