Anyway to control GPU clock manually instead of letting system decides?

I notice whenever my Macbook GPU's too heated then the system will clock down the GPU and temp drops. Anyway to control this manually? Because it will have to clock down anyway so I want it clock down always to not reach that high temp requirement before clocking down
